Cardiology Services

When you visit your cardiologist, you may have a physical exam. Tests, such as an electrocardiogram, blood tests, exercise stress test, or echocardiogram, may be ordered.

If you have risk factors, such as diabetes, family history of heart disease, or high blood pressure, talk to a cardiologist to help prevent disease through education and lifestyle changes.

If you have symptoms or are diagnosed with heart disease, your cardiologist will help treat and manage it so you can live a healthier life. From anticoagulation therapy to managing high cholesterol or high blood pressure, we’ll develop a plan to help prevent stroke, heart attack and complications.

This is the time between your arrival in the emergency department and transportation to UMass Memorial Medical Center, where a cardiac catheterization procedure is completed to restore blood flow to the heart.
