With the low-dose capabilities of our two state-of-the-art CT scanners at the Leominster Campus, UMass Memorial HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital is now offering a new, low-dose CT screening for lung cancer in high risk patients – the first in Worcester County.
A recently published trial by the National Cancer Institute confirmed that the lives of patients at high risk for lung cancer can be saved through early detection with low-dose CT lung screening. This is a quick and painless test and is recommended for patients meeting the following criteria:
