About Soft Tissue Tumors

Soft tissue tumors may develop in the head, neck, leg or arm. In most cases, they can be treated and removed so that the appearance and function of the affected areas are not changed. A soft tissue tumor may be found in any of the following types of connective tissue:

  • Fat
  • Muscle
  • Nerves
  • Fibrous tissues
  • Blood vessels
  • Deep skin tissues
