The Sixth Annual Health Care Career Expo

Worcester, MA - UMass Memorial Health Care, the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester Public Schools, Boys & Girls Club of Worcester and the City of Worcester Youth Opportunities Office, are collaborating to sponsor the sixth annual Health Care Career Expo on Wednesday, May 8th from 8am – 1 pm. The expo is designed to introduce area high school students to a variety of careers in the health care industry as well as alert them to local resources and opportunities for training and education. More than 500 local high school students are expected to attend.

The expo, which will be held at The Hogan Center at Holy Cross College, will also feature representatives from ten area colleges and universities, as well as 75 clinical and allied health professionals from 35 different health-related fields, to share their experiences with the students.

UMass Memorial LifeFlight will have its helicopter onsite between 9-11 am.

Interview and photo opportunity:
Eric Dickson, MD, CEO and president of UMass Memorial Health Care and Melinda Boone, EdD, superintendent of Worcester Public Schools, will be available at the event at 11 am
