Two Massachusetts hospitals are among the top hospitals nationwide for excellence in providing top-quality care while giving their patients a positive experience, according to a new report Tuesday.

UMass Memorial Medical Center has been named one of America's Best Maternity Hospitals by Newsweek, earning the top five-ribbon rating for the third year in a row. The list names the top 404 leading hospitals for maternity care in the U.S. divided into two performance categories: five-ribbon hospitals (168 institutions) and four-ribbon hospitals (236 institutions).

• More than $4.8 million available for mental health services, healthcare and public systems navigation and housing
• Funding to range from $150,000 to $250,000 per year for 3-year projects and up to $150,000 for 1-year projects
• A virtual information session will be held on Nov.

Massachusetts rural hospitals are among 300 nationwide that are at "immediate risk of closure," a new report says. The report comes as Medicaid changes are contemplated in the House Republican budget bill unveiled earlier this week.

Healthgrades released its 2025 Outstanding Patient Experience Award, which recognizes hospitals that provide top-quality care while ensuring a positive healthcare experience for patients. The company analyzed data from 3,059 hospitals that submitted at least 100 patient experience surveys to CMS between January and December 2023.
