Save 20% with our Prompt Pay Discount!

Some or all of your balances may be eligible for our Prompt Pay Discount Program. If you establish a payment agreement, you are not eligible for a prompt pay discount.

A prompt pay discount will be applied to your balances if payment is submitted before time of service, at time of service, or within the first billing cycle for new charges.

If eligible, your prompt pay discount will appear in your myChart account summary, in the Pay As Guest Portal, and on your billing statement.

We Offer Flexible Interest Free Payment Agreements

If you are unable to pay your balance in full, we offer flexible interest free payment agreements. With a myChart account, you can establish your payment agreement including the option to enroll in auto pay.

If you do not have a myChart account, our Customer Service team can assist you with setting up a plan that best meets your needs. Call us at 800-225-8885.

About Your Bill

If you are seen at a hospital outpatient site, you may receive two bills – one from the Medical Center, and one from the doctor (UMass Memorial Medical Group or other providers).

The Medical Center hospital bill includes charges that cover the costs of running the site and tests that you may need. You may need to pay copayments, coinsurance or deductibles set by your health plan for hospital charges. The doctor’s bill covers the charges for your doctor’s services. View more information here.

We Bill Your Insurance First

If we have complete information on your health insurance coverage, we first send the bill for your care to your insurer. However, you may have received a bill from us for deductibles, copays and services not covered by your insurance. You can call your insurance company directly with questions about its coverage. The telephone number is usually on your insurance card. (Note: Your insurance company may send you an “Explanation of Benefits,” which may look like a bill but in fact explains what your insurance has paid for.)
