COVID-19 Pre-procedure Testing Information For Physicians

Please see the COVID-19 Testing – Executive Summary below for an overview of the process for preprocedure testing. Generally, proceduralists, with the assistance of their team, will be responsible for ordering and following up on results of testing. We understand that the timing of procedures will not always allow for preprocedure testing, particularly in emergent procedures, and we also have workflows in these scenarios. In most cases, when patients have a positive SARS-CoV-2 PCR, there should be consideration about whether the procedure should proceed or should be delayed for a defined period of time.
