Our Distinctions

UMass Memorial is consistently recognized for the safe, high-quality care we deliver. Some of the recognition we have received for this level of excellence includes:

• Epic Gold Stars Level 10: Epic is the electronic health record (EHR) program used at UMass Memorial. This award is the highest level of recognition from the Epic Gold Stars program, signifying that our health system has achieved excellence in using EHR to improve clinical care, patient access and efficiency.
• Blue Distinction® Center for Knee and Hip Replacement Surgery: Each UMass Memorial hospital received this recognition, reflecting our expertise in total knee and hip replacement surgeries, lower complication rates and fewer hospital readmissions than other centers.
• Bernard J. Tyson National Award for Pursuit of Healthcare Equity: This award recognizes our initiatives that helped achieve a reduction in health disparities.
