Prostate Cancer: Clinical Trials

A clinical trial is a research study that's done to test a new type of prevention or treatment. Being part of a clinical trial means you may benefit from a treatment that is not yet available to anyone else.

Angiogenesis Inhibitors

Sometimes called antiangiogenic therapy, this treatment may prevent the growth of cancer by blocking the formation of new blood vessels.

Bone Density Test

A bone density test measures the strength and density of your bones as you approach menopause and, when the test is repeated sometime later, can help determine how quickly you are losing bone mass and density.

Head Injury

A head injury is a broad term that describes many injuries that occur to the scalp, skull, brain, and underlying tissue and blood vessels in the head. Head injuries are also commonly referred to as brain injury, or traumatic brain injury, depending on the extent of the head trauma.

Lumbar Strain

A lumbar strain is an injury to the lower back. This results in damaged tendons and muscles that spasm and feel sore.
