Adult Congenital Heart Disease

Our surgeons and cardiologists work together to treat adults with congenital heart diseases. In some cases, surgery is needed. Our cardiac surgeons are experts in closing septal defects (hole in the wall that divides the right and left sides of the heart). This includes patent foramen ovale (hole between the two upper chambers of the heart). Procedures are also done to treat aortic coarctation, pulmonary arterial stenosis and coronary fistulae. Mechanical Circulatory Support

We have several options for mechanical circulatory support, which are devices that help your heart pump blood. In addition to ventricular assist devices for people with heart failure, we offer Impella and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) for people with complex and critical heart problems.
