Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening
Abdominal aortic aneurysm screening with a quick, painless test could save your life.
Why Choose UMass Memorial for AAA Screening?
Specialized Knowledge
Our cardiologists are experts at identifying your risk factors for an abdominal aortic aneurysm and recommending screening when appropriate. If we do find an aneurysm, we’ll refer you to our vascular and endovascular surgery team for intervention to prevent it from getting worse.
Advanced Technology
At UMass Memorial, we use special software to scan medical records in our system for incidental findings of abdominal aortic aneurysms. If we flag an AAA case, we contact your doctor to coordinate the appropriate follow-up tests.
Convenient Access
We offer abdominal ultrasounds at our hospitals and many physician offices throughout the region. More advanced imaging, such as cardiac CT scans, is also available at locations close to where you live and work.
