Opinion/Guest column: For UMass Memorial Health, Trump bill One Big Headache

The “One Big Beautiful Bill” recently signed into law has dealt a devastating blow to health care as we know it, especially here in Massachusetts, a state that has been dedicated to insuring as many people as possible and reducing racial health disparities.

I pledge my commitment to stand strong and work with our amazing “army of problem-solvers” to ensure we can conquer this new era together — potentially our biggest challenge yet — ensuring we are financially healthy enough to be here for decades to come.

'Our goal is for people to play golf pain free': Specialists aid in keeping golfers healthy

Jeff Stiles has played golf since he was 6, and he hopes to keep playing it for as long as he can. “Absolutely, 99 percent of my retirement plan is golf,” the 49-year-old Northborough resident said. “The other 1 percent my wife can figure out.”

He cares so much about his patients. He’s always trying to do the right thing. He’s just a really compassionate guy, and I think he does great work.
