Doula-Led Childbirth Education Classes (In-person)

The UMass Memorial Medical Center Doula Program provides a welcoming, informative and Black-centered childbirth education (CBE) program.

We are pleased to offer a recurring series of childbirth education classes open to families who are expecting. 

These interactive group sessions are facilitated by an experienced registered nurse and certified lactation counselor:

  • What to Expect in the Third Trimester
  • Comfort and Coping Strategies During Labor
  • Different Ways of Giving Birth
  • Finding Your New Normal After Birth
  • Newborn and Postpartum Care
  • Postpartum Mental Health and Resources
  • Breastfeeding
