UMass Memorial PCPs deliver services that optimize your wellness. If you have a chronic disease, we provide attentive care to reduce its severity so you can avoid complications.

Primary care services include: 

• Preventive care checks for the early signs of chronic, sometimes serious, illnesses. We screen for issues such as cancer, high blood pressure and depression.
• Sick care helps you receive prompt diagnosis and treatment for common illnesses, like a cold, the flu, an ear infection or a stomach bug.
• Chronic disease management includes therapies and lifestyle recommendations to manage ongoing issues like diabetes, obesity and high blood pressure.
• Coordination services, including referrals to specialists, may be necessary for more severe issues. You have access to allergists, orthopedic surgeons, cardiologists, dermatologists and more.
• Wellness services focus on your well-being. You may benefit from healthy living tips or additional services, such as smoking cessation or nutrition counseling.
