Hahnemann Campus Construction and Traffic Updates

Road work on Rockport Road, between Duxbury Street and Brittan Lane, is expected to impact UMass Memorial Medical Center – Hahnemann Campus and the adjacent open-air parking lot in the coming months.

Phase 1: Beginning Thursday, August 20 (Weather Permitting)

The City of Worcester is resuming roadway work on Thursday, August 20, from approximately 7 am to 4 pm, weather permitting. Traffic will still be able to use Rockport Road to access the parking lots, but caregivers, patients and visitors should expect possible delays due to construction activity in the area and anticipate noise from construction vehicles.

There may be additional impacts during the project when travel on Rockport Road is restricted for paving work. During those periods, access to the open-air parking lot will be available through the rear gate, located on Uxbridge Street. 

Caregivers, patients and visitors who travel through the area should allow extra time and use caution when entering or exiting the Hahnemann Campus parking areas.

This construction is expected to last through November. We will give as much notice as possible before each road closure date when the city makes the information available.
