Security Alert: Be Aware of 'Your MyChart Medicare Kit Awaits!' Phishing Emails

Patients have reported receiving fraudulent “Your MyChart Medicare Kit Awaits!” emails. These emails ARE NOT from UMass Memorial and are part of a phishing scam.

The message may look like the example below:

If you receive this, or a similar, email:

Do not click on any links, including the “unsubscribe” link.
Do not provide any personal or financial information.
Do not reply to the email.
Delete the email immediately.

How to recognize the scam:

Look for misspellings: UMass Memorial brands myChart with a lowercase “m” – see below. If the email refers to “MyChart,” it is a warning sign that the message is not legitimate.

Verify the sender’s email address: An email from UMass Memorial would come from noreply@umassmemorial.org or mychartsupport@umassmemorial.org.
