Training and Development

To promote the development of our staff, our Diversity Office develops and delivers a range of programs related to cultural competency, diversity and sexual harassment prevention. Examples include:

• GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender) online training
• Respect and Civility in the Workplace
• Successfully Caring for a Multicultural and Diverse Patient Population
• Working in and Managing a Multicultural and Diverse Workforce

Diversity Educational Calendar Programs

In conjunction with nationally proclaimed diversity recognition events, monthly Diversity Educational Calendar Programs such as Hispanic Heritage, Disability Employment Awareness and Women's History Month are presented at the Medical Center.

These programs, which provide awareness of the diversity of our workforce and patient population, focus particularly on health care-related topics and are often presented by our own physicians and clinical staff.
