How Our Second Opinion Program Works

Getting a second opinion for a cardiovascular condition at UMass Memorial is easy. Here’s how to get started: 

1. Appointment request: Call 855-UMASS-MD (855-862-7763) to make an appointment with a member of our heart and vascular team.
2. Medical records: Provide test results and imaging scans related to your diagnosis. In some cases, our team may request additional tests and scans.
3. Multispecialty case review: Our team of cardiologists and other heart and vascular specialists meets to evaluate your condition and discuss your treatment options.
4. Second opinion: Our experts deliver a second opinion in person. We also share the second opinion with your primary physician.
