Franklin Fire Now Trained for Life-Saving Sepsis Treatment

Sepsis is a serious and fast-moving medical condition that can lead to death if not treated quickly. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 1.7 million adults in the U.S. develop sepsis each year, and over 350,000 of them die during hospitalization or shortly after leaving the hospital.

UMass Memorial To Restart Hospital-at-Home Admissions as Shutdown Ends

UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Mass., will begin accepting admissions to its hospital-at-home program Feb. 4 after pausing new admissions during a partial government shutdown, the health system confirmed to Becker’s.
