339 hospitals with the lowest CLABSI rates

A total of 339 hospitals in the US have a central line associated bloodstream infection rate of zero, as based on the healthcare-associated infections dataset from CMS. The Healthcare-Associated Infections dataset, updated April 30, includes performance data for five types of infections collected through the CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network.

UMass Memorial Health unveils plans for new satellite emergency facility in Groton, MA

UMass Memorial Health is moving ahead with plans to build a new satellite emergency facility to fill the void left by the closure of Steward Health Care's Nashoba Valley Medical Center.

The splintering of Steward Health Care last year resulted in the transfer of six hospital campuses, the closure of two others, and a reshaping of the state's health care world.
