Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation Event Raises More Than $23K For Cancer Patients
An annual ceremony hosted by the Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation raised tens of thousands for cancer care. The Annual Tree of Life ceremony on Dec. 8 attracted about 75 attendees and raised more than $23,000 to support the Oliva Fund for Cancer Care.

Shotguns Become Spades in Annual Gun Buyback Program in Worcester
70 Worcester County residents turned in 134 unwanted guns in six different towns and cities on the morning of Saturday, Dec. 13, as part of the 24th annual Guns 2 Gardens buyback program, which collects firearms and repurposes their pieces into garden tools.

Marlborough Nonprofit Assembles Care Packages for Children in Need

UMass Memorial, Shields working on $12M upgrade to Worcester outpatient center
Quincy-based Shields Health and Worcester’s UMass Memorial Health are working to upgrade their outpatient center on Worcester’s Shrewsbury Street, a 24-hour facility where more than 25,000 patients a year receive scans, which are critical in diagnosing cancer and other diseases.
