AMPUTEE CLINIC

Designed to help maximize the function and well-being of the amputee patient population in Central Massachusetts, the UMass Memorial Health Amputee Clinic brings together a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician and a prosthetist to help patients attain independence in the community by addressing their medical, emotional, and functional needs.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE CLINIC

  • UMass Memorial physical medicine and rehabilitation physician will oversee care and address areas such as pain management, wound care/prevention, gait analysis, edema control, prosthetic management, and coordination of care with other providers
  • Hanger Clinic prosthetist will oversee the fabrication, fitting, and repair of prosthetics
