Areas of expertise include:
Abdominal Interventional Radiology
We perform image-guided procedures to evaluate, diagnose and treat issues affecting the abdominal and pelvic organs. Learn more about abdominal interventional radiology.
Neurointerventional Radiology
As one of the nation’s premier neurointerventional radiology programs, we deliver optimal care for stroke, brain aneurysms, seizures and brain tumors. Explore neurointerventional radiology.
Vascular Interventional Radiology
We perform procedures to treat certain cancers, blood clots, narrowed blood vessels and abscesses throughout the body. Get more information about vascular interventional radiology.
Why Choose Us for Radiology and Imaging?
National Recognition
UMass Memorial maintains accreditation from the American College of Radiology for many types of imaging, including mammography, MRI, CT scans and ultrasound. This distinction is awarded only to programs like ours that meet or exceed rigorous standards. It means you can rely on us for safe, accurate imaging in locations throughout the region.
Coordinated Care
The UMass Memorial electronic medical record system enables us to quickly and securely share imaging reports with other providers you are seeing. For complex conditions, radiologists are often part of a multispecialty team and provide direct input into treatment planning. We are easy to reach whenever there are questions, so your care keeps moving forward.
Research and Innovation
In partnership with UMass Chan Medical School, we are exploring new imaging methods and raising the standard of care. These efforts include investigating new technologies, imaging techniques and interventional procedures. We are also evaluating ways of capturing accurate images with less radiation.

Send Images to UMass Memorial Radiologists
If you have undergone imaging at another facility, UMass Memorial specialists may ask that you share them electronically with us. Previous images can show how your current symptoms are progressing. Sending them to our team can also help you avoid unnecessary testing. Learn how to upload medical images.
