Southbridge Campus Paving Renovation Project

UMass Memorial Health – Harrington Hospital's Southbridge Campus will undergo new paving in parking lots over the coming weeks.

Starting Date: August 14

Expected Duration: Four to five weeks (weather permitting)

To minimize disruption to traffic flow and maintain access to hospital services, the project will be completed in multiple phases.

We encourage visitors to check this page regularly for updates on project progress and any temporary changes to parking or access routes. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these important improvements to our Southbridge facility.

Current Phase of Construction

Phase 4: Begins Friday, October 2 (Weather Permitting)

• Phase four of the campus repaving project in Southbridge will begin on October 2, weather permitting. This phase of the project involves grinding, repaving, and restriping the portion of the Emergency Department (ED) parking lot closest to the Air Ambulance Landing Zone (highlighted in blue in the graphic below).
  During this work, traffic patterns and parking near the Emergency Department will be affected, and the Air Ambulance Landing Zone will be temporarily relocated.
• To accommodate helicopter operations, half of the lower employee parking area in front of the hospital will be closed and used as a temporary landing zone (highlighted in red and white on the map below).
• This phase is expected to take just one day. However, due to the impact on emergency transportation and access to the Emergency Department, it is especially important that these temporary traffic patterns and parking arrangements are followed.
