COVID-19 Call-Ahead Testing Resources (HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital)

COVID-19 testing is only available to patients who:

  • Don't display symptoms
  • Haven't had any known exposure to COVID-19 
  • Have an order for pre-procedure screening for any HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital campus

HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital is NOT performing testing on patients who:

  • Are having procedures at any other UMass Memorial Health campus
  • Display symptoms of COVID-19
  • Have had exposure to COVID-19

Pre-procedure COVID-19 testing is by appointment only at the following location:

Hours of COVID-19 testing:

  • Monday to Friday: 8 am to 4:30 pm
  • Saturday and Holidays: 8 am to 1 pm

Helpful Testing Information for Patients:

  • Central scheduling is now scheduling testing for the urgent care, patients should call 978-466-8820 option 1 to schedule.
  • Providers/non-Epic users fax orders to 978-466-2743 (orders are received and transcribed Monday – Friday 8 am - 3 pm). 

HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital is following the guidance issued on March 13, 2020, by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to determine whether or not testing is indicated. If after applying the criteria to a potential case, and it is determined that a patient meets the testing criteria, orders need to be placed with the HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital Lab.

Orders should be placed electronically utilizing the EPIC EHR whenever possible, to expedite drive-through testing protocols. If utilizing EPIC is not an option at your practice, Hard Copy Lab requisitions should be completed in conjunction with the DPH Specimen Submission Forms and faxed to the HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital Lab at 978-466-2889.

To expedite testing at our drive-thru site, we're requesting that any physicians referring patients, place the order ahead of time.

Just like all other restrictions and guidance regarding COVID-19, this is a fluid plan that's subject to change.

For the safety of our patients and our staff, we ask that all patients keep their windows rolled up and bring a mobile phone to the testing site when they arrive.
