WORCESTER, Mass. – The Public Health Council of the Department of Health and Human Services.has approved the Determination of Need (DoN) applications that proposed the merger of UMass Memorial – HealthAlliance Hospital with UMass Memorial - Clinton Hospital, and the Hospital Improvement Plan/Emergency Department Expansion at HealthAlliance.

Leominster, MA – For the fourth year in a row, cancer patients at the Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center of UMass Memorial - HealthAlliance Hospital in Fitchburg will receive free therapeutic services thanks to a grant from Angie’s Spa, a charitable, all-volunteer organization. Since 2012, the funding has enabled the hospital’s Simonds-Hurd Complementary Care Center to provide free therapeutic yoga, hand, foot and chair massage and acupuncture services to patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
